Hundreds of human trafficking rings are reportedly roaming the refugee camps in Bangladesh looking for easy prey. The United Nations has warned that trafficking networks already in existence in southern Bangladesh, sprawling camps which have been overwhelmed by the arrival of more than 600 000 Rohingyas fleeing  Myanmar over the last two months. Six out of new arrivals are children, providing a fertile hunting ground for traffickers looking for young girls to recruit as maids.
