Political parties are punching hard during election rallies as the countdown to May 8th is a reminder that perhaps a new destiny awaits South Africa. Most of the opposition parties to the ruling ANC have focused on corruption, wasteful expenditure and service delivery. DA leader Mmusi Maimane took a township tour in KwaZulu Natal recently to interact and engage with residents in Chatsworth. Fighting poverty, insufficient housing, sanitation and unemployment were prominent issues he raised with this community. Maimane blames the ANC for misusing the funds that are supposed to be used for service delivery.
